The Birth Story
The labour was 10 1/2 hours long. It was done without an epideral but unfortunately some other drugs were required to keep mummy healthy. Pregnancy-induced-hypertension was diagnosed after 9 hours and therefore a magnesium drip was required to prevent mummy's system from shutting down. Unfortunately, it slowed down the contractions and so oxytocin was required to speed it back up again. But Henry was healthy as can be and mummy is recovering well.
