More visitors

This week Henry got to meet Bruce, Cheryl and Jordie. Jordie's red curly hair was pure Bruce. And then Henry insisted that Katie and Schultz come over because Henry wanted Katie to hold him. She resisted but Henry, the ruler of the house, always wins that argument!

Henry weighed in at 12 lbs, 3 1/2 oz, he got passport photos and he also got his first shots.

Henry's new best friend

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays, Henry and I take Kona for a walk and throw in the park. I think they both like the company :)

Happy baby

After going and watching Monday night league each week since Henry was born, I played my first game yesterday! Henry cried for a little bit in the middle of the game, but generally let mummy and daddy play a nice amount.
And I forgot that I am finally off of the blood-pressure medication, so that makes life better too.
These are two photos of Henry in the "happiest baby in the world" position and yes, he is a purple monster from the medicine for the yeast infection!

Week 6

People do say "the first six weeks is the hardest". This week (other than the breastfeeding woes) I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I've been for two short and slow runs, four walks and we even went out for dinner tonight.
Henry is also doing more exciting things. He is grasping for things, focusing on objects and he has the very occasional real smile, but mostly he is staying awake during the day for longer periods so it is like we are hanging out :)
He looks scared of the toys in this photo but I swear he likes them!!

10 lbs, 15.8 oz and counting

Today Henry was weighed at just under 11 pounds, but after the feeding frenzy he had this evening there is no doubt he now weighs 11 pounds. He has definitely grown out of his cousin's premie outfits and some of the 0-3 month outfits are already snug. Luckily we have a closet full of clothes from which to select, so it really won't be a problem.
